Contact Me

"The future doesnt just happen, it is created, our destiny is not in the stars, but in ourselves. We may need to follow in the wake of those who have gone before, but what we do and where we go is ultimately up to us. The attitude of initiative is an on-going state of exploration that is never finished a journey that never ends."

If this journey never ends then you guys have a lot of reading ahead of you!!!!
It really is because others have gone before me and I got to glance at their success, that I  am who I am today and where I am today...happy, healthy and last but not least...... ALIVE!
It is so difficult to have gotten to a place in your life where you think help is almost nonexistent. When I was 100 + pounds overweight and wanted to change, the task ahead seemed so monumental. If you are reading this journal and have the same task that I had, know that there is an answer.  It doesn't lie in medication, or special packaged foods, or surgery.. the answer lies within you and Michael thurmond's Six Week Makeover is the tool to help you accomplish this task.
Take the  time to reflect, if you are anything like I was, you hate your physical self.  I just denied to myself that this overweight problem was a concern to me.  Over the years I just accepted it as fact..and  it got so out of control I didn't know how to make it better.  I thought it was beyond me... I  honestly thought that sooner or later my obesity would rob me of my life and there was nothing I could do about it.
Then I saw that infomercial and it made sense and seemed like it could work, or at least I could get some weight off.  I felt the first flicker of hope that I had felt in a long time.  I knew everyone around me was thinking(and probably saying) "here she goes again". I had to try, it was my last hope..I was 45 and couldn't even walk down my driveway without being short of breath.  Everywhere I went people stared..my inner being was so uncomfortable in the body that housed it. I took that first step( and you can too) that step became another and the journey began.  It took a year to get off the excess weight, but I think it will take a lifetime to keep it off. This "lean living" is sooo new to me....sooo scary...but it is doable and the only one that can make it work ....is me.....
The past few days have been great.  I have stayed on program and exercised( I jog an hour a night as well as lift weight...so much for being short of breath walking down the driveway).
I have to remember two things....one day at a time..and failure is only failure if we don't go pick ourselves up, forgive our mistakes, and move forward..You can do this....honest!
