In the "about me part" of my webpage, I have a similar version of this quote written. I think there comes a time in everyone's life that it is far more painful to stay as is, than to change. I thank God that it finally clicked with me last year. I had attempted soooo many diets, so many food plans, but was not able to stay with the plans.. I honestly did not realize that being fat was far more painful, then sticking to a structured program, In finding structure I found freedom... freedom from being controlled by food, freedom to be me, freedom of the thin woman who for years has been imprisoned within the walls of fat, freedom from embarrasment, freedom to fit into anything. be it clothes or a movie seat. I am now a normal size in a normal world....working hard to keep my freedom....
