Contact Me

Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
   unknown

Yes, we are responsible for who we become.....no one else is.  There have been many a time that I have been my own worst enemy. Those of us who are overweight tend to react to stressful situations with emotional eating.  Sometimes life throws us curve balls and we have a difficult time handling the situation.  Remember you are an adult and you have the freedon to chose, with that choice there comes a responsibility not to sabotage or hurt yourself.  No one lives in a fairyland, there are decisions to be made and obstacles to be climbed on a daily basis. Some of the things that happen in our lives we have no control over, but we certainly have control over the way in which we react to them.  Eating should not be an answer.  We need to deal with the issues at hand, eating will not make them go away.  Eating may provide a temporary comfort, usually followed by the guilt.
When I get stressed now, I either exercise or go online and read at Providacorp.com.  I find motivation and support there, it is a place that refocuses me, clears my head and allows me to prioritize.  The online support has been a godsend to me during my journey to health.
Go take a peek...enjoy:
