What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.
--Ralph Waldo Emerson

Christmas is in the air...everwhere I look...lights, packages, people scurrying to buy last minute gifts...the pace is so fast...somehow many of us are missing the true essence of the season.
Is this not a time to rejoice for all that is ours?
What a year it has been...last year my family and I were in Disney, celebrating the holidays.  I was a novice to my new way of life and had taken my first hiatus  from MTSWBMO.. I had planned that I would...I remember hoping beyond hope that this would not be the end to my new found peace of mind.  I remember hoping that I would be able to return to my new way of eating once the holidays were over.  I wondered if I was somehow sabotaging myself, that perhaps I wouldn't find the strength and conviction within me to go back to what I knew was the best lifestyle I had found as an adult.  One that freed me from the fat monster, one that gave control over food back to me.
Well I did manage to return to the lifestyle that I had grown to love so...and through the winter,,,into the spring and during the summer I kept that plan( with a few hiatus's here and there) and it has brought me to this Christmas.. 125 pounds thinner..again I have taken time off over the holidays and again I pray that I have the strength and conviction within to return to my healthy way of living, once the holidays are over.......
