"Today is not the day you quit. Nor is it the day you cry. Today you know that you have all the passion and wisdom to find that quiet center of solace, serenity and strength necessary to create and sustain an authentic life."
Sarah Ban Breathnach

From Hold That Thought, by Sarah Ban Breathnach (Warner Books)

Some days just seem tougher  than others.. This week has been quite stressful on the workfront, which I think carries over into my personal life.  I thank God I have such a supportive husband. Sometimes  decisions have to be made that are difficult and scary at best...I have been in an emotional turmoil in this decision making process of late causing me to be a bit down in the dumps and if you noticed I have not written in this journal...sharing negativity is not what I choose to do.  The good part about all the stress is that I have not turned to food for solace.  I know who and what I am and in what direction I need to head in..  I do forsee some major changes in my life coming up ( like losing 125 pounds over the past year isn't a major change).  I think life is too short, not to be happy in our work place....I know everything will work out....
On another note, Today after work I am doing the relay for life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society.  I will be walking off and on through the night to raise awareness and money for the cancer society.
I am sure I will be tired and wet( supposed to rain) by the time 8 am tomm comes to be.  I will have been up 27 hours by then.  I believe it is a very good cause..
A few years ago,.I lost my brother to a brain tumor, When one battles cancer..they are powerless to change it without outside help and resources, and treatments..and in the end they don't always win the battle, through no fault of their own.
When one battles weight, one must grab the power from within and go for it.  We, who are simply overweight, do have the power to take the control of that which is destroying us and change it.  I bet my brother would have done anything for that choice.
So my advice....give it your all and you will see that this program works... this way of life has brought peace of mind, love of self, and hope for the future for me...and it can for you as well..  Go for it!
