Contact Me

Today in my guest book I was asked if I am still keeping a journal...yikes... I guess I really have not written for most of the summer...I have just been busy doing all kinds of things. I started my own business and that along with working for Provida answering posts on the forum and playing at my lakehouse has been time consuming.

Lets play catchup.

My weight is still up that darn ten pounds.. I seemed to like it...or should I say it seems to like me... I stay on program all week and then indulge on the weekend.  Trust me this lean living can be a struggle.  My husband has been on vacation with me for the last five weeks and we have been galavanting...

We did a two night canoe wilderness camping trip down Saco River in Maine last week..with 2 other adults and 6 teenagers between the age of 16-18....and I was in better shape than most!!

We have been doing alot of boating and having just plain fun.  The internet at the lakehouse has been lousy at best so we  installed a dsl line...works like a charm.

I have been walking between 2-5 miles every morning.  I treasure this time for thinking and reflecting...plus there is something to be said for watching the sun rise over the lake as I walk in the early morning solitude with my dog( yup I still rise early around 5am).

I have also been very busy getting my business off the ground.  It is called School Nurse Connection, PLLC and its purpose is to provide temporary nursing services to schools.  It seems to be taking off... I am quite excited.. but there is however, a lot of paper work and planning that I never realized went into starting a small business.. The most disturbing part is calling places  and having to wait for them  to send out information, only to find they didn't follow through and I had to recall... this happened to me four times with four different companies I was dealing with....a tad disheartening.

The kids are doing great.  Kara is getting ready for her senior year in high school.  The fun should start with all the college applications et al.... She has been a bit high strung regarding what she wants to be, where she wants to go to school etc.. etc..

John(my hippy musician) cut off his long hair, donned himself in a suit and went for an interview with a bank... 45 applicants... and you guessed it.... He got the job... I am still laughing.... I guess if you wait long enough they do come around, even at 23.  So he moved to Burlington Vermont, with his girlfriend and has joined the real world.  Burlington is a great place for him with his musical background, I understand they are starting a band there..

On Monday we leave to go to Cape Cod until Friday.. One of my favorite places... On Friday we are heading to Burlington to spend the weekend and check out John and Becky's new place... They are going to give us the grand tour of the area.

No I haven't given up journaling, and do hope to do more of it....but for the time being bear with me:)

Have a great one all!
